Staying safe on the internet

Independent cyber-experts confirm rogue browser extensions are the cause behind the recent compromise that has exposed private messages, now for sale on the dark net. This highlights the issue of browser based plug-ins or extensions that all the major browsers support (Chrome, Edge & Firefox).

The question is, do you know what extensions you have installed and how to check them?

We've put together a quick guide to show you how to find out (see below).

It's essential that you and your staff know, as this kind of compromise could put yu at risk of a data breach that incurs significant fines under the new data protection regulations (GDPR) that came into force in May 2018.
