We have sent the following email out to all our childcare providers this morning and know that whilst you are dealing with the fall out of yesterdays news, this is your opportunity to have a voice directly to the Gavin Williamson, The Education Secretary.
My daughter works as Senior Campaigns Adviser for CBI in London and is working closely with the cabinet and central government.
I explained the situation, last night that many childcare providers are facing with yesterday’s announcement the schools will close on Friday indefinitely. I’ve also spoken to one club this morning that will loose 1/4 million in revenue and know that many of the clubs we support face a daunting challenge and we would like to do anything we can to help.
Next week the CBI’s Director General is meeting with the Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, to discuss Covid-19 and its impact on business from an education perspective. My daughters has asked you to send her any anecdotes about how Covid-19 is impacting your business by the end of the week, so that the CBI can present the information to the DoE.
This is an opportunity to get your concerns heard, so please contact her by the end of the week.
